Well, it has been a while, so time for an update. Last weekend Brady and I went on a roadtrip...only, not together. Brady went with his brothers to New Mexico and I went with Kate to Fredericksburg, Tx.
Brady and his brothers seemed to have quite an adventure. I am sure I didnt hear ALL of the stories, but I did hear about them stopping on a highway...yes ON the highway, not the shoulder...to switch drivers (there is video proof of this). They weren't in a hurry either. Also the 8 mile hike that was the "highlight" of the trip. They set off early not knowing where to park or where the trail was or anything. There was too much snow, so they parked a mile from the beginning of the trail. Oh, and the snow thing means there WERE NO TRAILS. So they followed random snow-shoe prints of professional hikers. It was COLD and they did not have enough clothing on. Luckily Brady wimped out about an hour into the hike and they came back alive. They had a lot of fun though.
Welcome to Red River!

Before the "hike"

Dinner at an Italian restaurant.

Kate and I were not cold, but instead we got to debut the short sleeve shirts and shorts. We had a great time shopping down main street, staying in a bed and breakfast, and eating at little garden restaurants and German food. Totally girly! We did go to Luckenbach to say "hi" to Waylon, Willie and the boys. That was the tiniest place EVER, but fun. We "climbed" half of Enchanted Rock in flip flops...I do not recommend it. It was a beautiful view though. We were entertained at the RockBox Theater Saturday night with music from the 50's through the 90's. It was a much needed vacation from work!
