Spring is in the Air!

I love Spring...it is a VERY close second to Fall in my "favorites" book!  This weekend we took advantage of the weather and had lots of outside fun.

After I hosted a baby shower Saturday morning, the fun with Mason began!  While the Daddy mowed, he and I went to the new park here in town.  The play-ground was pretty lame...really lame.  It was literally A slide and a few climbing things too big for a 3 year old.  He was at least excited to do the slide, but got up there and insisted it was too hot.  I felt it and it was WAY too hot for any child to be on...in March.  They need to rethink that, I do believe!  There is an incredible walking trail with picnic tables, benches and a pond along the route.  We did a very small portion of it and stopped to rest at a picnic table.  Mason pretty quickly declared it was time to go home because the sun was too hot! ha.

After fun at the park and some rest with a movie, Mason and I went on a date to Pizza Inn.  Daddy went on a ride-along with a cop friend all night, so he was not home.  After some pizza, we came home and spent the evening outside.  We played with the sidewalk chalk, blew bubbles, jumped on the trampoline, and had some unplanned Easter hunting practice (many practices).

Most of the egg hunt photos are on my phone from then, but no worries he woke up Sunday morning wanting to hunt eggs some more!

We were going to go to church, but Daddy didn't get home until 5AM and Mason was seriously just wanting to play outside, so I decided we could play and make some memories.  :)  We had a picnic outside for lunch and watched Cars inside before heading to Granny and Pappy's for some fishing at the tank and a hot dog cookout.  It was fun, but HOT.  No wind at all.  Mason had a fight with the tail-gate of Pappy's truck and with his camping chair...he lost both fights so he was DONE by the time we ate!  He still had a fun and memorable weekend though!  :)
