My husband's family owns some land near Hilsboro, TX and we go down every year to a cemetery meeting. I know, I know...sounds WEIRD and CREEPY. We eat by the cemetery and talk about it and all that fun stuff. But see, this is a historical cemetery (declared by the state of Texas with a marker and everything). It is the GRAHAM-MASON cemetery. Where Mason's great-great-great-(maybe great?)- grandparents are buried. And Mason...well maybe you get a hint there into his name. A Graham married a "Mason" (maiden name) and there you have it.
My husbands family found the cemetery a few years ago, cleaned it up, repaired stones, put a gate around it to keep the cows away and started a board and association to up-keep the grounds and such...thus the meetings. See, it really is NOT that creepy after all...it is history.
Well a couple of weeks ago we went down to the meeting and I looked up and just happened to see that Mason found a stick from a very old tree and started walking down a path. I also just happened to have my camera around my neck too. SO I snapped away. Then I "tried" to get creative in Picnik.com and make it more vintage looking and I think it turned out pretty cute. My mother-in-law said that Mason is the 7th generation Graham to walk that path. Gave me chills.
Anyway, here is the photo...enjoy. :)
